Manuel Garibay brings more than 20 years of real estate investment and development experience to his role as Chief Investment Officer at Urban Renaissance Group (URG). At URG, Manuel oversees the company’s growth strategy, directs all investment activities—including acquisitions, development, and asset management—and manages relationships with institutional and private capital partners. He leads his team in sourcing, evaluating, and executing real estate investment opportunities across our target markets.
Over the course of his career, Manuel has managed over $2.5 billion in U.S. real estate investments spanning multifamily, office, hotel, and retail assets. He co-founded and served as principal of Kamiak, a real estate investment firm focused on acquisition, development, and operations for multifamily and office assets in the greater Seattle area. Prior to that, he was Vice President at Blackstone’s EQ Office platform, where he oversaw a 3.7 million square foot office portfolio in the Pacific Northwest and participating in acquisitions, leasing, and dispositions totaling over $1.2 billion. Earlier in his career, Manuel held positions with Vulcan Real Estate – where he contributed to the management of a 3.0 million square foot Seattle portfolio, including Amazon’s corporate headquarters and several residential projects – as well as Clarion Partners and KeyBank Capital Markets.
Manuel holds a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Washington and is an active member of Urban Land Institute.
